Five Things I want to Read More of!
You know I love romance, my son knows, my family knows (even if my dad hates it, but we can’t always win, am I right?). We all have particular things we love to read, and things we want to read more of. I have several things that are my crack and give me a high every time I read them, no matter how often I read them. So even though I know I haven’t read them all I still want more of these things in my romance novels.
Blue Collar Heros
When a manly man, is possessive and alpha I feel like it fits personality wise for the man that is working with his hands and has all of that testosterone pumping all day long, rather than the asshole alpha CEO that’s sitting behind his desk all day long.
Murder
I really don’t know why there isn’t more murder in romance, because I feel like love and murder go hand in hand , it’s usually a crime of passion and I feel like it definitely has a place in romance and we need more of it.
Big Families
I freaking LOVE big families in books, like Jasmine’s Family in From Lukov with Love and The Morgan’s from Lauren Rowe. I come from a good size family, I have two brother and two sisters, and although we aren’t close like these families, I wish we were. I want to have a loud Sunday dinner with my smartass family who is all up your business and I want the same thing when reading!
Surprise Pregnancies
There is seriously something that just does it for me when our heroine gets pregnant that makes me giddy! When she has sex and says it’s okay, I’m on the pill but she was just sick and took antibiotics that rendered the pill ineffective, I pretty much stand up and shout YES!
Grand Gestures
I’m not talking about any ordinary grand gesture, I’m talking grand gestures of EPIC proportions, flying across the country, chasing her down in the airport, getting family to help with an amazing surprise to show that her really do love this her and are willing to go to any length to prove just that!
All of these! I also love when the couple, who have known each other for years, sudden realize that there is something more to their relationship and decide to go for it.
