It’s heating up here in Dallas, we’ve already hit the 90s a couple of times! Our spring feels really short and rushed, I don’t know if that’s everywhere or just here, but I hope you read the Spring Break books that I recommended you already, because it’s time to dive into my Summer reads!!

I am dying to start reading these summer books and I am so grateful for the ones I’ve received from the publishers so far. Once I read these summer reads, I’ll let you know if I was right and if they hit the mark for lit summer reading!

These summer reads are the best of the year and everyone will be talking about these romances, from book clubs to picnics.

The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez is a must read friends to lovers romance that will hit you in the gut with a range of emotions while you fall in love.

The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez

Obviously this cover is what drew me into the book, but the synopsis is what really made me want to read it! Don’t let this cutesy cover fool you, as funny as this book seems to be, I’m afraid that we won’t be able to judge it by the cover, because it’s going to be an emotional book that is tackling infertility and I can’t wait to see how this will play out.

The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory is a hilarious hate to love, secret romance that charmed me from the beginning!

The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guilory

I missed the other books by Jasmine that have been hyped to high heaven so I am dying to get out front of this release. What makes it even better is the fact that it’s hate to love and couples that ‘hate’ tend to have such fiery passion in bed that I just can’t get enough and I love when they finally realize that they don’t really hate each other that much after all.

How to Hack a Heartbreak is a women's fiction novel with a dose of romance that will satisfy not only women's fiction readers, but romance readers alike.

How to Hack a Heartbreak by Kristin Rockaway

As a single woman who has been using dating apps, can we just say: relatable? Seriously, if I had the skills to make a program that would keep away the scrubs, I would do exactly what Mel does and create an app that will help all of womankind!

I devoured The Bookish Life of Nina Hill, finished in less than a day, it's a quintessential summer read light on the angst, but still emotional and moving.

The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman

Who doesn’t love a heroine who reads? And that is exactly what Nina Hill is, a fellow bookworm right there with me and you!  Her world is turned upside down. I cannot wait to see how everything plays out when she find the family she never knew she had!

Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey

I feel like this one is going to be a winner with every single hopeless romantic out there that’s dreaming of their movie worthy meet cute. It looks and sounds cute and hilarious and I for one am dying to get my hands on it!

Don't put The Unhoneymooners down too fast because this hate to lovers romance will have you fist pumping excited by the end of the story!

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

I adore twins in books, I’m sure that twins aren’t really how they are portrayed in fiction, but whatever. I still love them. Any, with two people who hate each other in a honeymoon suite in Hawaii… I’m sure there will be all kinds of sparks happening and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out!

The Bride Test was the first arranged marriage novel I read, I couldn’t get enough of these two in this charming friends to lovers romance.

The Bride Test by Helen Hoang

After Hoang’s stunning debut I think everyone was dying to get their hands on her follow up and let me just tell you, it doesn’t disappoint! We have another character on the spectrum, but the story was completely different, but still held the charm from The Kiss Quotient.

Passion on Park Avenue by Lauren Layne is a clever romance, it's a great read with beautiful friendships, packed with an emotional punch.

Passion on Park Avenue by Lauren Layne

I am obsessed with strong women in fiction, let’s be real who isn’t these days? We want our heroines to be independent, witty, hard workers just like us, and I believe we will get that and so much more in this new one from Lauren Layne!

If you are looking for an emotional second chance romance, Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker will fit the bill to a tee & have you falling in love twice.

Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker

What is it about opposite attract romances that is so appealing? I don’t really know myself, but I am a sucker for them and this second chance romance from K.A. Tucker promises all kinds of angsty if I judged that blurb correctly!!

The Right Swipe by Alisha Rai

Books where dating apps play a prominent role make me so happy, because really that is the best place for me to meet a man, I’m not going to actually run into a stranger on the street. The fact that these are the creators and they are rivals, well that will just up the tension between the couple and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!!

Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey

My first taste of Tessa Bailey was actually through the podcast she hosts with Alexa Riley, Read Me Romance, and I love the quick smutty listen. When I saw that she not only had a new book releasing but it was a fake romance with a makeover I was all over it! (Plus the cute cover!!)

There is a romance on this list for every type of romance reader – unless you read historical, sorry!! – Tell me in the comments which book you want to read from my list!
