A sexy new contemporary romance duet from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…
I have the perfect life.
Until the day my husband tragically dies.
Being a single mom and widow was never part of the plan.
When David Calloway enters my life, I have no room for love in my heart.
But he’s determined to do right by me.
Could he be the Wright love?
I received this book for free from Inkslinger PR in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
The Wright Love is Sutton, the youngest of the Wright siblings, book and I was looking for a book about healing and hurting. I expected angst. I expected. I expected. And my expectations sucked the joy right out of the story. I didn’t get what I thought I would get.
David and Sutton have an interesting relationship, he understands what Sutton is going through better than any of his siblings and doesn’t make her feel like she is grieving wrong. I really enjoyed how he was patient and never rushed her for more even though it was patently obvious that he wanted more. Sutton is so full of mixed thoughts and emotions and I don’t think that anyone could blame her for it. I mean, being a single mom is already hard. But the fact that she is still grieving her husband is a complete game changer.
Let’s chat about the ending of The Wright Love. I know you are wanting to know how much of a doozy the cliffhanger is, because we all know that the first book in a duet will have a cliff. It wasn’t that bad compared to some of the others I have read lately, yes it was quite the sucker punch and out of left field, but it didn’t bring me to my knees.
Overall, The Wright Love left me feeling a little underwhelmed. I expected to feel much more than I did. I wanted to hurt for these two, but I sadly didn’t. I was a good book. I will read the next because I need to get their happily ever after.
