I asked for his criteria for bed buddies-that’s the PG version.

He swore at me and said he didn’t do groupies. And just like that, our friendship was off to a great start.

Reese Forster was the starting point guard for the Seattle Thunder.

Gorgeous. Cocky. Loved by the nation.

He’s also attending preseason basketball training camp where I used to work.

Correction: where I work again, because I was fired from my last job.

And dumped.

And I might have a tiny bit of baggage, but that’s normal. Right?

Reese and I shouldn’t have become friends. We shouldn’t have become roommates.

And we really shouldn’t have started sleeping together … (Except we did.)

I’m adorably psychotic. He’s in the NBA.
This is not a disaster waiting to happen, at all.

Teardrop Shot was an emotional book that moved me in ways I didn’t expect, but I really should have known better because it was written by Tijan. She writes some of the angstiest and emotional books I have ever read.

I thought that this was going to be more of lighthearted romance, and it was in the beginning and hysterical! I love how Charlie used just came up with random questions on the spot when she was nervous basically as a coping mechanism.

So, funny thing about this book is that I listened to most of it on audio, but switched to the paperback in the evening and once I needed to finish it but didn’t want my lamp on, I switched over to the kindle app so I could read it without the lights, that how much I wanted to finish it. I read it on three different mediums!

The conflict in this story although boiled down could sound trite, but the factors that play into it are so unique that I’d never read it before. I am telling you, this is one sports romance, that although is mostly off the court, is one that will satisfy any sports fan during the ‘stay-at-home’ orders.

I loved the chemistry between Charlie and Forester in Teardrop Shot and how he was able to get around the walls she built up around herself and stood up for her even before they were a thing to a boss that mistreated her.

  1. I love this book so much and I feel like it didn’t get enough love! I always bring it up as one of my favorite sports romances and ideal “book boyfriends”, it was so much deeper than I expected and Reese was such a good friend.
