She’s my little sister’s best friend. And exactly who I should NOT be spending a summer with…
The last time I saw Elle, she was a child. A Harry Potter-obsessed 13-year-old with a penchant for fan fiction and following me around. Six years later she’s on my doorstep. The braces are gone. The “Team Gryffindor” t-shirt’s been replaced with a bikini the size of my index finger. And I can’t get her out of my head, no matter how hard I try.
Except she’s still the girl I’m not allowed to have, the center of a secret I hope she never learns.
Resisting what I feel for Elle Grayson is the only way to protect my family. But am I willing to break both our hearts in the process?
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
No One But Us is such a cute read! I loved that this story is about a young lady that has basically fallen from grace. Though it was no fault of her own, Elle was put in a very difficult spot.
So. I’m going to be honest, for some reason I didn’t review this book right after reading, I am writing this review about 6 weeks after reading it, so it’s going to be a little choppy and I apologize in advance.
Elle’s childhood best friend invited her to come the summer with her and her brother (teen Elle’s crush) and another roommate. Well, her best friend in the years since they have been in college, has become extra jealous and in turn becomes super catty with Elle all summer and starts telling her brother’s (James) fiance things about Elle and basically makes everything blow up on Elle. I hated Ginny, Elle’s bff, for 90% of No One But Us.
James and Elle are sexual tension personified. They were electric and I loved getting the two of them in a room together, even if I wanted to strangle James a few times. This man, was infuriating at times. He kept going about how much younger Elle was than him, but really he was trying to talk himself out of wanting her her like he does.
No One But Us has so many layers and aspects to it that I just couldn’t get enough. I really hope that I can get a story for Ginny, so I won’t hate her as much! This is a great best friend’s brothers story brimming with drama!
