Frisco Family Fun Activities

There are so many things to do in and around Dallas and Fort Worth, add in the surrounding areas it can be challenging to figure out what it is exactly that you want to do.

Personally, my son and I fall into a pattern of doing the same things over and over and although we both enjoyed them we get bored with doing the same things all of the time. I’ve found plenty of massive lists of things to do in Dallas with kids, but none of them quite hit the mark for me.

These Frisco family fun activities are unique, fun and you are sure to have a blast and your kids will beg to go back again!

See, I’m not a tourist, and a lot of the attractions listed feel very much cliche ‘fun places for kids in dfw’ let’s go to the botanical gardens or Six Flags or the bull run outside of City Hall. I’m not knocking those things don’t get me wrong, but come one there are fun things to do that require miles of walking and challenging parking situations.

I’m not saying you won’t have to walk at all, because as nice as that would be for us adults… our children wouldn’t be worn out to chill after the adventure we took them on that day!

Electric Game Box

Grandscape Mall, 5752 Grandscape Blvd, The Colony, TX 75056

The Electric Game Box has been around for a while, but this is their first location State side and Hunter and I had an absolute blast! You wear this crazy little hat and it’s your controller to control video games on the wall.

There are different games you can play and they are adding changing games all the time so you will want to keep going back!

Another Round Golf

660 Fort Worth Ave Suite 100, Dallas, TX 75208

This is the only place on my list that I haven’t been too, and coincidently it’s also the farthest from Frisco, but I am always looking at this indoor mini golf course with stars in my eyes!

This putt-putt style location is also super Instagramable and who doesn’t like taking cute photos while out with family and friends? Plus, I am always here for a competition!

The Star

9 Cowboys Way, Frisco, TX 75034

The Star is the cheapest is or potentially the cheapest location on the list because you can bring a football and play catch on the outdoor field and run around without ever spending a dime. But we always end up eating or grabbing ice cream while we are there. There is a variety of restaurants to choose from sit-down and be served to Raising Cane’s.

There is also a huge tv screen where you can sit down on Cowboys game day and enjoy the game while the kids run around and play in the open area!

Kidzania

2601 Preston Rd #3011, Frisco, TX 75034

Kidzania is another venue that is the first in the U.S. and it’s so unique! Kidzania teaches our children about earning money! They ‘work’ different jobs and earn money to be able to purchase items from the store!

But heads up, we went prior to Covid, so I’m sure it’s different now, but it was SO crowded and people were everywhere plus strollers so it make the navigation a tad difficult so Hunter enjoyed it much more than I did.

National Videogame Museum

8004 Dallas Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75034

This is one of Hunter’s favorites!! We’ve gone twice and although I’m not the biggest gamer out there, I do LOVE me some Mario! And they have some really cool room set ups and it’s like going back in time!

They also have arcades set up for you play video games like you are a kid in the 80s and it’s nostalgia overload and we could spend hours there playing and having a good time!

To really get in the video game spirit, I’d recommend going to eat dinner at Nerdvana down the road and play video games while you eat dinner and their food is so delicious!
