Books I Want on Netflix

Netflix has been great about creating movies for some top books in the book world, specifically YA and horror, but I want to see more of my favorite books with just a button away. This is quite the mixbag of books here that I want to see adapted on Netflix, it’s actually ironic, because I personally adore romantic comedies and not a single one of these books fall into that category. What are the odds?
Say You’re Sorry by Karen Rose
From the beginning Say You’re Sorry sucked me into the dark mind of a sociopathic killer and I freaking loved it. It started the same way an episode of Criminal Minds does where you see the killer in action and then brings you to present time where you follow our heroine, Daisy Dawson, and then later we are introduced to our hero, FBI Agent, Gideon Reynolds.
Say You’re Sorry is long and very involved and would make either a great movie or mini-series on Netflix.
The Girl Duet by Julie Johnson
This duet should be a show or mini series, because Kat Firestone is one of the most relatable heroines i’ve ever read. She has a tragic backstory and two sexy men vying for her attention, plus it’s set in hollywood. I was consumed entirety of this duet and it will live on forever with me. Now if I could binge watch it too!
The Au Pair by Emma Rous
The beginning was slow to hook you, but once it did it slowly took you under it’s spell and consumed you. The plot and the uncertain identities, the feel of someone after you and watching your every move will have you on the edge of seat and on the edge mentally.
I could see everyone buzzing about The Au Pair if was on Netflix and I would love talking about it with everyone for hour because this story is unpredictable and so enjoyable to watch unfold!
One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus
This story is touted as The Breakfast Club meets Pretty Little Liars… if that doesn’t scream put me on Netflix, then I don’t know what does! A high school detention where everyone has something to hide and someone ends up dead. It’s brilliant and captivating and if it was a movie I would watch it on repeat!
Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas
When Birthday Girl released, everyone was raving about it and when I finally had the chance to read it I finally understood why. This one would be a great adaptation because it’s sexy and forbidden. It’s just controversial that everyone will be talking about it and the views of it would sky rocket! It would be sexy, and I would definitely be hosting a watching party!
Fire & Heist by Sarah Beth Durst
Fire and Heist is likened to the Ocean’s movies and Dungeons and Dragons, and the adaptation could be fun for the whole family! I think this one could even be animated, it was the most fun I had reading in ages and I think it could be done in so many ways but no matter what think seeing it on the small screen would be fantastic!
