Life Update: I’m Getting Married!!
So, it’s been a while, and you might be wondering, who the hell is this girl, and why am I on this blog?
Well, I’m Joy, and I’ve been blogging about romance novels for close to five years now, but for the past year or so, I’ve been busy living my own romance novel. I met my now fiancé, Tim, last February, and we’ve had quite the whirlwind romance. After nine months of dating, we got engaged!!
I’m thrilled, and I’ve had the best time during our courtship, and now I’m in the thick of planning our wedding all the while he preps to have surgery next month. On top of that, we will be moving in together next month and juggling my ten-year-old son’s activities both in and out of school.
With all of this going on, I’ve slipped away from reading, and to be honest with you, I can’t remember the last time I actually read a book. When I do have free time, or while I’m working, I’ll watch a show or listen to a podcast—which is why, with everything going on, my blog has fallen by the wayside.
But I’ve been feeling that blogging bug nipping at my toes almost daily for a while. I’ll be searching for something in particular, and I don’t find it, or I complain about something that I feel other people should know, and they don’t, and I just think to myself, I need to blog about this.
This seems to happen more and more every day, and I can’t resist the temptation much longer, so I’ll be back soon. I don’t know how regularly I’ll be posting or if it will even be consistently, but I will be back at it. My blog won’t look the same as far as content goes. I’ll be shifting away from romance novels and dive more into podcasts and what I’m watching, talking about wedding stuff, and I will probably even bring tidbits from my day job as a claims adjuster into the mix as well because all this is what I’m thinking and constantly doing. I hope you will continue to share this journey with me and not drift away because I won’t be posting about books anymore—not to say I won’t ever post about books, because I’m sure there will come a day when I’m sucked into a good book, and I need to scream about how amazing it is—but it’s not going to be the main focus of this blog any longer. Of course, I won’t be getting rid of what’s already existing because I talk about some pretty amazing books, but going forward, things will be a bit different, and I hope that you will still share this new adventure with me!
So happy for you!!
