Summer is here, and I am stoked to tackle my summer reading list. I don’t know about you, but when I think about summer, I think about lounging with my e-reader, having a cold drink, and staying up way past my bedtime. I’m excited to bring you something new to add to your summer—book recommendations based on your summer horoscope.
Whether you believe in the fate written in the stars or not, this list is a fun way to find new reads and authors. I’ve chosen a book for each astrological sign based on their summer horoscope. It was SO MUCH FUN to come up with this list and put my inner-astrologer to work. Spoiler alert: When I was a teen, I wanted to be an astrologer.
Read below for your summer recommendation and tell me in the comments if you follow your horoscope or not! Happy reading!
*Note: I am in no way an astrologer, and the book recommendations are based on horoscope trends and Zodiac signs characteristics, plus a lot of fun.

Game Maker is perfect for Aries, who is driven and passionate. With lots of laughs, a secret romance, and family drama, Aries will identify with the story and get wrapped up in the passion-filled romance. Danika finally makes a move on her brother’s best friend. Not only is he older, but he’s also supposed to be off-limits. Always cautious Danika takes a leap of faith in her love life. The result? You’ll have to read to experience it all. May 21-June 20
Summer is coming in hot for Geminis, and Wicked Gentleman is the perfect story for those looking to break up their routine. Stevie is starting a new chapter of her life when she meets Jackson Hart, a sexy and witty man she’s instantly captivated with. Full of angst, heat, and sensuality, Wicked Gentleman is the perfect read for Geminis this summer. For the Gemini that is bored of routine, this secret office romance will be the spark to spice up their life, even if vicariously through the characters. Who knows? Maybe fiction will inspire real life.
CANCER: FRENCHED BY MELANIE HARLOW
June 21-July 22
This sexy romance is exactly what Cancers need to heat up their summer. The planner will identify with Mia as she creates lists and checks each item off. The overly organized event planner finds herself heartbroken after her fiancé calls off their wedding a week before. Her friends convince her to go on her honeymoon to Paris, alone, and that is where she meets Lucas, the sexy bartender that will become her very own tour guide. Cancer will resonate with the emotions and Mia’s sensitivity as she finds herself at a crossroads.
LEO: ANYTHING BUT MINOR BY KATE STEWART
July 23-August 22
Anything but Minor is romcom perfection. “King of the jungle” Leo will relax and get swept away in the romance this summer. Confident and attractive Rafe makes for the perfect hero for any Leo. Alice’s quirks and nerdiness will fuel Leo’s sense of humor. It has everything a Leo will love in a story and something they will connect with in their life. Summer can bring change for Leo, and this story will give them exactly what they’re looking for.
VIRGO: LONG DRIVE BY JESSICA FLORENCE
August 23-September 22
Summer for Virgo is coming in full of sensuality. Long Drive is the perfect read for the Virgo looking to throw caution to the wind and take a chance on life. Livia needs a break from her life, and the best way to find an escape is taking a month long road trip with a sexy and moody truck driver. This book will challenge Virgo’s need for practicality and show that love and life happen best when unexpected. Relax with a book this summer, Virgo, and block out your problems. Stressing won’t make it any better. The best medicine? A great book and some outdoor time to ground your Earth sign.
LIBRA: ROOTS & WINGS BY M. MABIE
September 23-October 22
This lighthearted read is perfect for Libras who cherish balance in their lives. Vaughn is exactly at that point in his life, starting new in a small, southern town after a breakup. Mutt, the nickname given to our female lead, provides solace to him, and he’s determined to show her a life she’s been missing by living her whole life in her small town. This is a story about moving on, finding love, and creating harmony in a new place. Libras will love the emotions and identify with Vaughn’s need for harmony. Add in a countryside setting in the South, and it’s the perfect recipe for a Libra. You’ll be lucky enough to learn Mutt’s real name when you read the book.
SCORPIO: IN BETWEEN THE EARTH AND SKY BY HEIDI HUTCHINSON
October 23-November 21
Stubborn and resourceful Scorpio has found its match in Lydia, our leading lady from In Between the Earth and Sky. This is a story about adventure, love, and one’s own journey. These themes all come together in an incredible way, showing life’s messiness and beauty. Perfect for Scorpio’s summer that will be filled with charm. Cautious when it comes to love, Scorpio will identify with the romance in this novel.
SAGITTARIUS: HOT FOR HIS GIRL BY RACHEL BLAUFELD
November 22-December 21
Single mom Andi will do anything for those she cares about, even if it means putting others before herself, something Sagittarius will relate to. She is snarky behind her anonymous blog, though deep down is caring and gentle. With a hint of angst, the humor flows off the pages in this story, perfect to complement Sagittarius’ own sense of humor. Throw in a sexy, shirtless blogger, who is also a professor, and sparks fly, making it the perfect, fun read for Sagittarius.
CAPRICORN: THE FOXE & THE HOUND BY R.S. GREY
December 22-January 19
Capricorn is known for being driven, responsible, and stubborn. I’m a Capricorn, and I can vouch that we are sometimes a difficult sign, but we’re also loyal to the bone. The Foxe & The Hound is the perfect read for Capricorn to recharge this summer. A fun and sexy rom-com, R.S. Grey brings two total opposites together and watching their interaction will make you smile. Our male lead, Adam, is driven and focused on his career. He is also set in his ways. When hot-mess Madeleine crashes into him, she puts him to the test, bringing out a softer side of him. She needs him to hire her as his real-estate agent so her financial problems can get fixed, and he needs her to be his fake girlfriend to get his mom off his back. Capricorn will identify with Adam’s practicality and cheer for Madeleine’s fire despite the struggles she faces.
AQUARIUS: HARMFUL RUSH BY DEBRA DOXER
January 20-February 18
Shy Aquarius will identify with Skylar from Harmful Rush. A young girl with the gift of healing others with her hands, she struggles to keep her secret and find her place in the world, which rightfully so is difficult to do. Debra Doxer finds the perfect balance between a hint of paranormal, romance, and new adult. For the Aquarius who don’t jump into something new without careful consideration, Skylar will be a woman after your own heart. Despite her quiet and guarded demeanor, she knows her purpose is to help others. When Dylan, the campus heartthrob notices her, you can’t deny their connection. More importantly, the reason behind their meeting. This emotional and thought-provoking read is exactly what Aquarius needs to fuel their inner-humanitarian.
PISCES: WATERFALL EFFECT BY K.K. ALLEN
February 19-March 20
Waterfall Effect is an emotional and inspiring story about learning who you are and remembering your past, all the while learning to live again. Poetic, Pisces will fall for the artistic flow of the words. Not to mention, the vivid descriptions of the waterfalls. As a water sign, and in my opinion, the most water sign in astrology, Pisces will want to swim in the waterfalls. Waterfall Effect is a beautiful story about second chances. The suspense blended perfectly with the romance. K.K. Allen touched on topics of mental health so honestly, respectfully, and real. For artistic Pisces, Jaxon will be a hero they connect with. His love for art and pure talent will have you polishing off your own artistic talent.
I haven’t read the book for Sagittarius! Sounds good though!
