The Princess Diaries meets Game of Thrones in this epic, engrossing royal romance…”

Two months ago, Emilia Lancaster was a regular girl with a regular life.

Now, through a cruel twist of fate, she finds herself living in a castle with a crown on her head, the sole heir to the Germanian throne.

Between the charity balls, press events, and royal obligations, Emilia’s days are suddenly full of unfamiliar responsibilities. And with a series of new suitors vying for her attention — not to mention Carter Thorne, the one man she can never have, sleeping one suite away — her nights aren’t much simpler to navigate.

One thing is certain: Emilia’s heart is in undeniable danger. But as enemies of the crown circle ever-closer… her life may be in jeopardy as well…

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Ladies and Gentlemen… Julie Johnson did it again! Torrid Throne is another gripping tale in the Forbidden Royals trilogy.

Emilia is such a captivating character because she doesn’t fully understand her potential and power that she wield one day, very soon. She has already captivated the majority of her kingdom, from her honest roots and not being raised royal. What others deem inappropriate is what endears to the rest of the country.

The sexual tension between Carter and Emilia has grown in intensity, tenfold. These too are constantly at a battle of will and fighting from what’s right and wrong. What their hearts want versus what their brains and society tell them they should do.

Torrid Throne is very much a devious chess game and we won’t know until the very end who will come out on top, although I am very much rooting for Emilia to triumph and rule. After the shocking ending I am dying to know how everything will work out for everyone.

This series is fast becoming the top modern day royals series, with its fierce female lead that will have you standing up and cheering!
