After witnessing Bri Carmichael’s pain, Cole Burkely is determined to help her heal.
That home visit changed my life.
She is a shell of the person I knew.
I just want each day to end so the night can swallow my pain.
She still has so much to give.
I’m empty.
I want to help her stand on her own again.
I’m not ready to let go.
She’s worth sticking around for.
My will to keep moving forward is stalled.
I want to make her smile again.
He has a good heart, but I can’t be the one to take care of it.
She doesn’t know that a long time ago I dreamed of her heart and soul.
My story has ended.
Our story is just beginning.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Love You Through It is a story of heartbreak and perseverance. About our friends and family that are there to pick us up when we have fallen and don’t want to get back up. About falling in love again, when life throws the big curve ball.
“Til death do us part. Death did part us. It tore us apart, burying one and leaving the other untouched, but just as dead.”
Bri was delivered a devastating blow and she almost wasn’t able to pick herself back up afterward. If it wasn’t for the faith and love her friends she may not have. Although going into this story I thought that her backstory is what would hurt my heart the most it surprisingly wasn’t.
“I’m here, still making my music. And falling for the widow of a fallen soldier.”
Cole, the man that had fallen for Bri is who tore my heart up. He felt so tortured because he had an instant attraction to Bri when he knew he shouldn’t and couldn’t act on it. His friends gave him such grief that my heart did that weird stutter flip thing. I just wanted to hold him and tell him that it will all be okay.
I really enjoyed Love You Through It and watching Bri breakthrough her depression. Fabiola is a master at writing authentic real life stories. I read this story as if I lived through it myself and I am now dying to get my hands on the next book in the series.
“He is my second chance. Cole is the person bound to me so that I may live out the rest of these emotions with someone. The experience of love doesn’t have to end.”
A thoughtful and engaging review. Now I’m curious to read this book!
Kella, Love You Through It is so amazing! If you want an honest real life story, this will blow you away. The first book on sale right now, but you can read this one as a standalone.
