We all know the struggles of the single life, we live it and breath it, day in and day out. Some days we are barely surviving on our own, wishing and hoping that we will find our other half the help battle this life with an unfailing partner.  Some days, we are feeling so badass that we don’t need anyone there to drag us down.  We got this.

For those days when we are feeling so badass, I have a few things on the survival guide that should kick your badassery back up a notch or ten.

FEEL SEXY

First, we need to something to make us feel sexy.  That’s right, I don’t want to look good for a man, I want to look good for ME.  Let’s boost our own ego.

1) My personal favorites are lipstick, Lipstick Queen, Frog Prince by Poppy.  I know that it looks strange and you don’t want green lips, but it goes on pink and gets darker and lighter depending on your body temperature, so it will always be the perfect shade for you!

Sexy Panties

2) Sexy panties – There are literally millions of pretty panties in this world! I found these on Amazon and I just did a little one click!! I love the full coverage front but the lacy back.  It’s kind of like mullet panties!

3) Black heels, black heels make me feel so powerful.  I think they make me feel like I could a be a spy or something, but you put on the these Fergie heels with spikes, you will feel like a powerhouse in no time! The little details on these heels are rockin’!! Plus, every pair of heels I own by Fergie have been comfy and last!

Protect Yourself

As single women walking around by ourselves we ALWAYS need to be paying attention to our surroundings.  I know, this is difficult because we are attached to our phones, a book, a child.  But, we really need to be aware.  Here are a few thing that I like to help with self defense when, in case we are ever caught in a precarious situation. I’m going to look into self-defense classes for the beginning of the year so that I feel confident protecting myself and my son.

1) Self Defense key chain.  There are a bunch out there, but I like this because You should have good control over it and just keep it in your hand as you are walking to your car or running and just hit someone easily if you get snuck up on.

2) Pepper Spray.  I personally don’t keep this on my now that I have a son, because I am kind of terrified that he will grab it and spray himself in the face, and that really isn’t something this mom wants to deal with.  But, I do believe that if you are in a position that you need it, you will be glad you have.

Personal Alarm

3.) An alarm, if you are near your car you can always utilize the panic button, but if you aren’t within range or it’s not particularly loud you can purchase a personal alarm on Amazon as well.

***Important Note: Both Samsung and Apple have SOS features on your phone.  I am linking to site that will help you set that up.  I urge everyone, not just single women, to set up this feature on your phone. Samsung & Apple.

If you are just feeling down in the dumps or just need the security of being able to protect yourself, I hope you found these tips helpful.  If you have a favorite item that makes your feel sexy or protect, or maybe both, I’d love to hear about it!
