A dark stranger. A deadly potion. A school for scoundrels…
Lily Locke has barely had time to sink into her role as The Isle’s newest Mixologist, when a series of events sends her world spiraling out of control. Her vampire cousin is overtaken by a serious bout of blood intolerance issues, and the key ingredient for the antidote is missing.
Meanwhile, Zin is training day and night under the watchful eye of Grandma Hettie to break into the elite, male-dominated world of the Ranger security force, but it’s a constant uphill battle. Then, Ranger X turns Lily’s world upside down when he breaks the longstanding rules of the island and throws both her heart and her head into a tailspin.
Hooded strangers, dangerous potions, and a budding romance threaten to ruin all that Lily’s worked to achieve. Add in a stolen spellbook, and Lily’s barely able to hold her head above water.
When a body turns up on the beach, Lily must catch the murderer before a true battle begins…
Welcome back, Islanders.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Witchy Sour picked up right where Hex on the Beach left on and the stakes are higher than ever. There are creatures everywhere and no one knows what will happen next.
“Something about this guy, something in the air, or something in his aura, was enchanting. His very presence had the ability to scramble my thoughts.”
Witchy Sour had so many moving parts that I couldn’t put it down for even a minute. I was engaged and invested in these characters as if they were living and breathing. My hearts was in my throat with anticipation throughout.
“My skin was chilled and his lips were warm, while a furnace burned in my stomach. He held me in his arms and kissed me until the goosebumps overtook my skin and my lips were raw.”
The romance will have you swooning only to have your heart broken a moment later. You will be so invested in these characters that you feel what they feel and hurt along with them in ways you never thought possible.
“This potion is not found on the pages of text books. Its name is murmured only in dark and hopeless places, and those who seek it have a strong, desperate desire to use it. A desperate and hopeless man is a dangerous one.”
Witchy Sour was a delicious read that left me reeling and begging for more. Get drunk on Witchy Sour today!
