Who knew sleeping with the enemy could be this fun?

Was the one night stand a good idea?

Well, no. Probably not in retrospect.

In my defense I had just moved back into my grandparent’s house, I’d lost my dream job, and a guy on Tinder had stood me up. It was like life had suddenly stamped ‘LOSER’ on my forehead.

So when the guy behind the bar started giving me THE look…you know, the one that promised I’d be screaming his name into the wee hours of the morning? When that guy also has the perfect amount of scruff on his chiseled chin, biceps bulging out of his t-shirt, and a cocky grin you knew he’d earned in the sack…when he gives you that look, you don’t bother to figure out what your six degrees of separation are. You jump on that horse and ride it!

Pun fully and completely intended. And accurate by the way.

I fully admit to feeling sorry for myself and acting impulsively, but by the time I’d figured out WHO the bartender was, I was already falling for him.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

What a fun read! I cannot wait to dive back into these books! The Bartender is hilarious and drama filled, with great friends who have each other’s backs!

Whit is a girl that made a mistake and has to move back home, her love life and career in the dump, which I know most of us women can relate to either, if not both. She is kinda the middle road between her two friends and I loved her.

Cole was hot and a little mysterious, he has a shared past with Whit, even if he didn’t realize when they first met.

“We started as enemies, became lovers, and are back to being enemies again. Funny, I always thought full-circle moments were supposed to be a good thing.”

These two got along well one night, and then they were enemies, turned lovers. I freaking loved it. They were forced into an awkward situation together, but you could see the feelings they had for each other, even if they were trying to deny it to themselves, well… Whit was.

Piper Rayne is a secret duo of best selling authors that have come together to write under a pen name together, and boy I am glad that they did, The Bartender is pure romcom magic and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
