I had the chance to interview Tiffany Reisz ahead of her release Red. It’s an erotic paranormal romance that you will love!
HEA Novel Thoughts: What inspired The Red?
Tiffany Reisz: I had mentioned The Red in a book I wrote called The Angel. My heroine in The Angel is an erotica writer and she wrote a book with that title about a woman who owns a struggling art gallery (The Red Gallery) and the mysterious man who promises to get the gallery out of bankruptcy if she agrees to sexually submit to him for the period of one year. That was years ago I wrote The Angel (2011) but the idea of The Red stayed with me. Once night I was lying in bed and it just hit me hard that I really REALLY wanted to write that book. So I did!
HEA: If you could co-write any author living or dead, who would it be?
Tiffany: Probably Saint Paul who wrote many of the books of the New Testament in The Bible. I think Saint Paul would benefit from a feminist perspective in his writing and I wouldn’t mind reshaping modern theology.
HEA: Does your family read your books?
Tiffany: They do! One aunt and several of her friends love my Original Sinners books. My other aunts love my standalones like The Bourbon Thief and The Night Mark. Especially The Night Mark. That’s been a favorite among the aunts and the cousins and even my mom said it’s her favorite of my books she’s read. My family is very proud of me.
HEA: What is like being married to another author?
Tiffany: Wonderful. I highly recommend marrying writers. We understand the importance of naps, of reading time, of being alone, of going odd places on seemingly weird whims to research books. It’s the best. I wouldn’t trade Andrew Shaffer for a whole bag of silver dollars.
HEA: What are you currently reading?
Tiffany: A little obscure mystery novel called The Da Vinci Code by some guy, Dan…Something. It’s pretty good so far. I think it’ll sell quite a few copies…
Make sure to grab your copy of Red!
This is so interesting! I’ll have to check it out!
I love Tiffany! she’s so witty, and ‘The Red’ is fenomenal! Hot as hell…!!
The Red was phenomenal! Hottest book I’ve read this year & I’ve 90+ books to date. Tiffany is an amazing writer and I would love to meet her some day.
