3 Podcasts For Romance Novel Lovers

I love listening to podcasts, but I will be the first to admit that I am SUPER picky about who I will listen to.  This might sound rude as hell, but I cannot stand some people’s voices. I’ve heard voices that sound like phone sex operators to some that sound too preachy and I just can’t deal with being preached too.

These three podcasts are each hosted by a pair of women and I have really enjoyed listening to them, they are funny and I felt like I was listening to friends talk, I might have even talked back to them like the could hear me. All three of these are geared toward readers and are found on multiple platforms, I have an Android phone, so the frustration of not being able to play iTunes only podcasts is real.  What’s even better is these are on Spotify, so I can listen while I’m at work and need a quick book fix, even if I can’t hang out with characters.

Podcasts for romance book lovers

One True Pairing Podcast – Pop culture, juicy romance and hilarious conversations. Hosts Erica Martirano and Marissa Sangiacomo revisit their favorite couples from across TV, movies, books, and pop culture.

Why I love it:  They talk about real life couples like they know them, and let’s be honest, that’s how we as readers act with fictional couples.  They talk about love and if you are on my site, odds are you love love just as much as I do!

Young AdultingYoung Adulting podcast by Grace Atwood and Becca Freeman. Bad books and good advice from two questionably young adults

Why I love it: These are grown women who love YA books, and they do a great job with conversation and advice, you want to be them.  Then you realize that they are just like you and reading the same books that you love and talk about them. I love nothing more than talking about books, so when they talk about a book I love too, well that makes it much more fun to listen too!

Lady Books – Two ladies (a term we use loosely) chitty-chat about reading, writing, designing, editing, and publishing books. (Kate Newburg & Tasha L. Harrison)

Why I love it:  This podcast is a little more… colorful than the others, but that is part of what I really enjoy.  These ladies are super candid and real. Who doesn’t love listening to authentic real women talk about books?

Do you listen to podcasts?  I would love to hear from you on your favorites, even if they don’t relate to books.

I ran across another podcast while working on this post and I think I may have found a 4th podcast for romance lovers to add to this list!  When in Romance, this is part of the Book Riot family of podcasts, but this one focuses on romance novels.  I started listening to their most recent episode and what was really neat for me is the fact that these women are talking about relevant book world issues, aka #cockygate. They discussed a very sensitive topic in a very informative way that I really enjoyed hearing.

I am really looking forward to hearing some podcast recommendations from you!
